…and with this ring ours lives will start, Let nothing keep our love apart. I’ll take your hand in mine, and be together through all time. – David Foster and Arthur Janov And so this is how their love began, with a tender song of promising love. Keith and Ronda found each other and committed themselves to one another at a beautiful, quaint and intimate service at the Holy Cross Immaculata, at the top of a hill, rich in history, they took their vows, one to the other. Afterwards, their guests were whisked away by private coaches to the Cincinnati Art Museum to enjoy a delicious sit down formal dinner reception, music and dancing the night away. Thank you both for allowing me the opportunity to share in your special day.
Oh, my! This 2nd Birthday Party was so much fun to design. The party was completely over the top. Beautiful décor, flowers and food to rival any adult party. Thank you for the opportunity to share in this special day!
How honored I was to be asked to design the invitation for these two little cousins christening; especially since I had designed Melina’s Baby Shower Invitations for little Athena just months prior. The request was for something classically traditional for a Greek Orthodox Christening. The invitation is printed in navy and maroon on natural cream double thick cardstock, the envelope in natural cream felt with a metallic navy liner. The result, an invitation respectful of such an important occasion.
So fortunate to design the annual Christmas Bash Invitations for this wonderful young lady in Georgia. She always puts together an inspired theme every year to celebrate the season with her friends. This years theme was “Boots” every kind and style from cowboy to knee high leather. The only request to her guests were for them to wear their most fabulous boots and boogie the night away.
Simple and Sweet. The best way to describe these two beautiful people and their Rustic Farm Wedding. Complete with sweet tea and mason jars, tears, smiles and dancing into the wee hours. It was so much fun helping Jill and Cody make their dreams a reality. The Wedding Invitation is simple and sweet with love birds perched in a tree and an excerpt from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis de Bernieres “Those that truly love, have roots that grow toward each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find they are one tree and not two”. The program announces “Today I Marry My Best Friend” with the book sealed “Bound with Love”. The ceremony was complete with homemade flags individually hand stamped with “YAY” to celebrate the couple as they went down the aisle as husband and wife.
As unbearable as the Dallas Summer can be, the first peek and anticipation of Fall can be just as inspiring. As I left my apartment this morning, I felt lighthearted and excited about trying a new bistro that had opened just a couple of blocks away. The morning walk was full of sunshine and a crispness that hinted Autumn was on its way. As I turned the corner where the little bistro is situated, the shadows of a high rise blocked the sun and the temperature dropped, beckoning the call with scents of fresh pastries and coffee. The outside of this little gem was reminiscent of a Parisian café with outside tables that met the sidewalk. As I went inside I was met by the friendliest of “good mornings” and suggestions for their morning selections. I took a seat in a nestled corner by one of the windows. From the music, to the staff, to the food; everything was served up with a quiet grace. I enjoyed the most heavenly Quiche Lorraine (which is saying a lot, because I thought I made the best), nibbles of the flakiest Pain Au Chocolat and a Hazelnut Latte, complete with foamed leaf in mismatched china…ooh la la! So, if you find yourself, anytime in the near future, in Uptown Dallas, stop by the Mercat Bistro and enjoy a delightful experience.
Black Crow Media, based in Daytona, Florida, owns and operates both AM and FM radio stations in 5 markets over 4 states. The Valdosta, Georgia market, celebrated their annual Open House on November 10th. When I was asked to design the invitation for the event, I knew it had to reflect everything that is special about everyone at Black Crow. The lucky clients and community members who received an invitation were treated to an evening of music and great food. All of the studios were open, so everyone could get a behind the scenes view into the life of the DJ’s, Production Assistants and Sales and Marketing Teams that make Black Crow a leader in their field. Black Crow operates 7 stations in Valdosta: Newstalk 105.9 WVGA, Rock 108, 99.5 Kix Country, Hot 102.7, 106.9 The Eagle, 95.7 The Mix and Star 105.3, as well as their digital media outlet ValdostaToday.com

While designing the Bosworth Family Christmas card for 2011, my original design was intended for a silver foil embossed print on Cranes Lettra in Solar White with a white envelope, lined with black japanese chiyogami paper with gold and silver metallic leaves. However, when I ran into these beautiful papers at Paper Source this afternoon, my design will now be on Neenah Flash Pearl with gold foil embossing and just look what the ivory envelopes will be lined with:
I couldn’t resist publishing the engagement photo for one of the brides that I am designing for right now. The wedding is early spring 2012. Their colors are guava and ivory. Until I can publish the invitation suite, take a look at their gorgeous engagement photos:
Ever since I published the Casino Invitations for the boys at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, I have received numerous requests for this invitation. Recently, I had a request to take it out of the box and create a flat invitation for a Sweet Sixteen. This particular invitation plays homage to The Hard Rock Casino. I hope that you like it as much as I enjoyed taking it in a new direction.
